Growing and Growing !

Updated: Apr 3, 2021

Hi!

These last few weeks have been super busy , but equally wonderful! I’ve had lots of Baby Bear events to attend!

Starting with Mothercare expectant event , where I got to meet lots of mums to be and their partners. I was able to network with other great baby related businesses too.

It was a great event , I’ve been lucky enough to be invited back in August too!

Then I attended a Mum to be night at a new event space , Luna, in Crosby . I gave some demonstrations to help newborns with wind and colic and also gave a talk about breastfeeding with Breastfeeding Sefton.

Out of the blue, I received a message from Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar asking me to host a baby massage event with ESPA. To promote their mother and baby range.

I was blown away , they had found me via my social media and website. To say I was delighted is an understatement. Building a brand and social media presence is what i've found the most challenging and time consuming. It was great to see this had actually paid off !

The only negative was the event was on my son's 2nd birthday . But I am very lucky and have a truly wonderful and supportive husband, who reassured me Ted wouldn't remember me not being with Teddy the whole day on his birthday and helped me sort a little tea party for him that afternoon.

With bags, mats and baby in hand , I arrived at Harvey Nicholls, overwhelmed and so excited!

The event took place upstairs in a calm and serene space , I used my sensory lights, mixed with the beautiful ESPA signature scents ( they are divine) The setting was perfect for a soothing and relaxing baby massage.

I taught two sessions to groups of lovely mums and babies. I really enjoyed myself too . I received good feedback from Espa and Harvey Nicholls and we are hoping to work together again soon. Then arrived back at home in time to host a 2nd birthday tea !

Just to top off an already manic week, I had organised a bump, baby and beyond event at Crosby Lakeside with NCT . I had a stall as Baby Bear, but as branch secretary , had the organising and directing to do too. Our amazing volunteers were incredible. The stall holders were wonderful and the day was such a success. Offering support to new mums and families in our area from a range of businesses s and services aimed at families. We'll definitely run the event again ; although I think i'll plan my calendar better next time!

On reflection , I can't believe how far I've come in such a short space of time. Following my dreams and taking a leap of faith has made me so happy . Being this busy has been a challenge , but dedicating time and hard work to your own business , is so much easier than when your doing it for someone else.

So from a tired , but very content me ,

I'll see you soon.
